Roughly 8 hours after waking, the human body’s ready for a nap whether you like it or not. Siesta-loving cultures have had this one all figured out since forever, and the rest of us could benefit from following their lead.
A mid-afternoon nap of up to 60 minutes helps to improve reaction time, short-term memory, patience, information processing and attention to detail. So institute a company nap policy and provide a comfortable napping space to avoid spending the afternoon with a cranky team of tired-out employees!
